Day 101: 9 miles (long)

Did my long run early this week. I ran around the Arastradero Preserve, just like I used to do with Varick. Ah, memories. No problems with smoke today, fortunately.

Total Distance: 9.96 miles
Total Time: 1:13
Avg Pace: 7:24 min/mile

Equipment: I tried the 6 flask fuel belt today. Only brought 4 along (8 oz water, 8 oz Cytomax) and so had weight balance issues. Love the size, though, and the carrying capacity
Nutrition Before : Ate a powerbar 15 minutes before the run. Wish I had eaten it earlier; sat like a rock for about 4 miles.
Nutrition During: Cytomax, unfortunately, is evocative of soap. I either need to make it stronger (or wash my flasks better?) I drank about 12 oz of fluid

Comments: Legs felt a little tired near the end, though no single part felt sore or injured. In other words, doing good (ungrammatical, yes I know) on my first real run in training.

Now time to cool down by biking to work~!
